“The Earl’s Dangerous Secret” is a captivating Regency romance filled with intrigue, passion, and the promise of redemption.

Review -

Ellis Henshaw has crafted a fun, intriguing romance. Emily’s brother has been accused of treason and is being tracked by the very appealing Earl of Thornburn. Emily must decide if she’ll be loyal to her heart or her family as she engages in a dangerous dance to protect herself and everyone she loves.

The romance builds slowly and in line with the mystery of how past and present have intertwined. There are many reasons to keep turning the pages - you might come for the romance but stay for the suspense! The characters are interesting with enough complexity to keep them human. This is a simple romance that would be appropriate for most people to read.

Promo: How to React When Woken at 3am by Drunk Argentinian Backpackers while Staying in a Youth Hostel and Other Lesser Known Travel Tips

How to React When Woken at 3am by Drunk Argentinian Backpackers while Staying in a Youth Hostel and Other Lesser Known Travel Tips

Book 4 of the hilarious book series that those in the know will want to read when arriving at Paris airport so they laugh so freaking hard that it will intimidate any suspicious characters looking to abduct them and sell them into the human trafficking game.

Life was not meant to be easy, Simon Yeats' father used to tell him. Well, it sure as hell was not meant to be this bizarre and witty. Australian ex-pat Yeats, as all he has ever been called since High School, shares his stories of travel misadventures and dubious personal introspection with comedic insights into the unusual and uproarious elements of living his life abroad. All while having a sense of Wanderlust as pervasive as Mongol hordes in the 12th century.

From how to negotiate getting abused in Los Angeles when you will only drive at 5 miles/hr., to what to do when locked out of your hotel room in your underwear, to the emotions of attempting the world's second highest bungee in South Africa when you have a pathological fear of heights, to how to deal with the trials and tribulations of staying in a youth hostel in South America with travelerswho have no respect for the other guests.

Simon Yeats has gone into the world and experienced all the out of the ordinary moments for you to sit back and enjoy the experience without the need to empty your bank account, get squeezed sitting in a middle airline seat on a nine hour flight to Tokyo, or deal with border security at the Ukraine/Russia boundary.

Author Bio –   Simon Yeats has lived nine lives, and by all estimations, is fast running out of the number he has left. His life of globetrotting the globe was not the one he expected to lead. He grew up a quiet, shy boy teased by other kids on the playgrounds for his red hair. But he developed a keen wit and sense of humor to always see the funnier side of life.

With an overwhelming love of travel, a propensity to find trouble where there was none, and being a passionate advocate of mental health, Simon’s stories will leave a reader either rolling on the floor in tears of laughter, or breathing deeply that the adventures he has led were survived.

No author has laughed longer or cried with less restraint at the travails of life.

Christmas cheer was dead, to begin with.

The world rests on Eliza’s shoulders. The kids, her husband, work, her elderly mother and don’t forget her newest friend, perimenopause. It’s too much to carry, but she’s been doing it for years. It’s just what a good wife and mother does, isn’t it?

When another Christmas rolls around, Eliza is drained by all the expectations and logistics of the holiday season. She’s fast approaching her breaking point, only no one around her notices she’s on the edge.

After an incident at her in-law’s on Christmas Eve brings things to a boiling point, she finds herself with three unexpected visitors. The spirits of the past, present, and future take her on a journey through her life to shake her out of the rut she’s gotten into. Review: Winter Snowfall by Elder Fell Farm by Liz Taylorson

Winter Snowfall at Elder Fell Farm

A simple Christmas just got complicated …

Amy’s in love. She’s looking forward to spending her first Christmas together, as a blended family, with Matt and their two sons, Harry and Oliver. What could be more perfect than a romantic escape to the remote and beautiful Lake District farm where Matt and Amy met?

However, an unexpected and difficult guest threatens to disrupt the festivities, and undermine her relationship with Matt. With Harry and Oliver around to create mayhem, and a snowstorm closing in, it seems that nothing is going to be romantic about Christmas at Elder Fell Farm.

Can their relationship weather the storm?

Review

Winter Snowfall at Elder Fell Farm tells the story of two single parents who are trying to blend their two sons into a family. They choose to go away on a semi-romantic getaway with kids in tow to celebrate the holidays. Unfortunately, they are visited by the ghosts of relationships past while their kids decide to pursue nonstop  holiday hijinx.

The kids were the best part of this book. Harry’s exploits were endearing and well-imagined. I loved the overt enthusiasm for the holidays and the exasperation it caused among the parents. I think every parent can relate to having a child or children be charmingly naughty — and thoroughly embarrassing — at a major celebration.

I was less certain about the relationship. Matt has some grieving left to do and we’re tossed in the middle of their love story, so it’s a little hard to decide if Amy is ignoring red flags or in a relationship worth fighting for. They get their happy-for-now Christmas and Matt seems to finally be ready to let go of his wife. Personally, I’d marry Amy just because Harry is a charming rascal who definitely needs a stronger father figure and firm hand.

This was a breezy read with lots of holiday feel-goods. There are references to sexy-times, but it’s not on the page. I’d give it a PG-13 more for Harry’s love of colorful words than adult situations.

Author Bio –

Liz has always surrounded herself with books.

As a child, she was always to be found with her head in one and she treasures a bookcase full of her childhood favourites to this day. She went on to work in a library, cataloguing early printed books – but as most of the books turned out to be volumes of sermons, she wasn’t tempted to read them all. She now works as an administrator for her local parish church and is a little more attentive when it comes to sermons.

Her childhood dream of being an author came true with her first published novel The Little Church by the Sea (there are several others in a shoebox under the bed.) It’s the story of a lonely vicar whose vicarage falls off a cliff. Liz hastens to point out that this was written before she was employed by the church! Winter Snowfall at Elder Fell Farm is the second of a trilogy of novels set in the Lake District. After that, she’s thinking it might be time to write another book about a vicar – featuring a hard-working and incredibly efficient parish administrator, of course.

In what remains of her free time Liz is an avid reader, a keen theatre goer, and is also half of the team behind 376 miles, a slightly quirky blog about travelling Britain and watching football. You’ll find it at https://376miles.substack.com and it’s free.
